Issue 02/07: Coffee Bars - The Top 60 European Players
This year's second issue of FoodService Europe & Middle East (March/April) is on its way to readers in more than 50 countries throughout the world. More than one hundred pages – and some 250 photos! - packed with market data, case studies and analyses. Here's a pre-taste:
- Pan-European Survey: Wherever you go in Europe, the event catering market is booming. Events are the preferred way of achieving communication targets for many companies – but the business is characterised by highly complex structures and big operational challenges. Part 1 of our pan-European report on event catering covers the UK, Ireland, Sweden, The Netherlands and Russia.
- Coffee Bars: Worldwide, coffee exerts an incredible power of attraction on young people. At the moment, there is more to learn in this segment than in almost any other. Therefore, for the second time, we present a ranking of the top European players: 60 brands with a total of over 6,500 outlets – 18% unit growth in twelve months.
- City Guide: Hamburg is Germany’s biggest commercial centre, Europe’s second biggest container port and favourite home of many millionaires. The high purchasing power of citizens and tourists, an excellent infrastructure and, last but not least, the water – all in all, a solid foundation for a lively foodservice scene. Our city guide provides not only facts & figures on the metropolis which is also Germany’s leading musical venue but also a selection of interesting addresses for professional sightseeing.
- Design: the dellago is a small but very nice example of an Art Déco hotel on Lake Lugano, in the heart of the Tessin. The unique design is not the only impressive thing about this fancy house. At the restaurant, gourmets are indulged with Californian style seafood cuisine interpreted with a knowing wink.
- Far East Section: Once again, our Middle East Section has been extended towards the Far East, namely, India. Obviously, the subcontinent’s growing economic might has helped to draw increased attention of Western media and consumers to India’s culture, from Ayurveda to Bollywood. The India boom is also of great culinary relevance. Therefore, we invite our readers on a study tour to India, with visits to Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai, and selected case studies. Our extensive special feature portrays India’s leading high-end hotel groups and their F&B concepts, innovative foodservice commitments developed in India as well as local players. Moreover: the essentials of the traditional Indian food culture, facts & figures on the Indian economy and an overview of the up-and-coming chain-restaurant market in India.
- ...and, in addition: concepts to watch, a report on the team catering at Formula 1 races, visionary models of ‘outdoor dining in the future’ as well as a showcase of the latest F&B and equipment products.
