The service type distribution in the European Quick Service/ Retail/ Convenience Market is pretty divers. The average of the Big 5 European countries shows a pretty equal share of on premise and take away consumption of around 46%, however with important local differences. Almost three of four guests in the British Quick Service Market take away the products. In Italy and Spain, only every forth guest consumes on the go. Germans and French also rather have a tendency towards off premise consumption. Another difference in the national habits: The British Take Away business is mainly related to main day parts such as lunch and dinner. In Spain and Italy, snacking is over average important.
