Research Bite: Visit share of Families


 
Family visits have a very different importance in the big five European countries. In Full Service Restaurants and Hotels, families with kids 0-9 have a visit share of 17% in 2009. In Germany, the share is lowest with only 13%. But also in France, the families represent only 14% of all visits. In Italy and Spain, families do not only come for dinner but also for lunch into Full Service Restaurants. However, it is interesting to see that in all countries the family share was lowest in the first quarter. But over the year, families started to come back into the market after the crisis.
