‘Little Kitchen’ Brasserie Style

Kitchenette is the name of eight venues providing service as cafe, bar, brasserie in Istanbul. The first branch opened in Addres Istanbul Shopping Centre in September 2005. By now, the second generation of Kitchenette (two of them franchised) has spread around the city’s shopping centres. The flagship restaurant on the ground floor of the Kanyon shopping centre boasts 120 indoor seats and 80 outdoor on 503 sq m (including kitchen). Kitchenette hosts its guests with a rich, fast prepared but high quality menu combining many different options such as breakfast, starters, sandwiches, salads, meat, fish and seafood at reasonable prices. The bestsellers give an impression of the menu’s width: Among them there are Chicken Schnitzel, Tortellini Funghi and a Seabass salad. The average check comes to YTL25 (€14) per person. The strongest time is around lunch, e.g. in Kitchenette Kanyon 400-450 guests are served every day between noon and 2 pm. The comfortable and relaxing ambience is a mixture from French brasserie style and American Diner furniture. Operating company Istanbul Doors Group, who are also responsible for the Istanbul branch of London’s Zuma as well as several other hotel and restaurant enterprises, plan to expand Kitchenette to 25 restaurants in Turkey by 2012. By the end of 2008 they hope to open their first overseas location with projects being worked on in London, Miami, and Dubai.
