Potrefená husa is a branding concept from the Staropramen brewery. Since1998, the Staropramen Company has been developing its own chain of brandrestaurants and pubs for young people as part of its strategy to increase beer cultureand the quality of gastronomy in the Czech Republic. Currently, this project includesa total of 24 branded restaurants belonging to several different concepts.
Potrefená husa pubs are run on the basis of franchising agreements and come inthree different forms: Potrefená husa restaurant (designed for the centers of largetowns, 14 restaurants in operation), Potrefená husa sports bar (suitable for largehousing estates) and Potrefená husa beerpoint (developed especially for bigshopping centers), which represents a new style of beer bar with elements that reflectmodern lifestyles. The first Beerpoint was recently opened in a new shoppingcenter in Prague’s Chodov district.
On the menu of all three concepts, in additionto traditional Czech meals, diners can also find many modern lighter meals. Customerscan choose from a wide range of Staropramen beers as well as Belgianbeers from InBev, the company owner. Presently there are 19 branded Potrefenáhusa restaurants in the Czech Republic and one in Bratislava, Slovakia.
