Design Meets Fine Cuisine

In November 2006 Sir Terence Conran opened the Custom House gastrodome in Copenhagen. The venue, which occupies a unique position facing the waterfront and yet is located in the heart of the Danish capital is a joint venture between the world-famous designer and the Danish company Centerplan A/S.

The establishment has three restaurants, private dining/banqueting rooms and a deli. The Ebisurestaurant – 55 seats – serves traditional Japanese food in a simple and elegant atmosphere;Bacino – 68 seats – features authentic Italian food served in a restaurant decorated in light grey and silver; last but not least, the Bar & Grill – 86 seats – offers informal and plentiful Danish/European cuisine served in a Brasserie-style room reflecting traditional Danish tug boats with warm timber cladding and ox-bloodleather. There is also room for private dining – 24 seats – and banqueting – 80seats. The deli sells mainly food produced in the kitchens – bread, fonds, takeawaydinners, wine from the wine lists together with some specialities.

Main courses in all three restaurants have an average price of €23-30. They are open for lunch and dinner and a good proportion of the customers are business people.
