Dreams of Chocolate


 
Haflidi Ragnarsson is one of the most skilled chocolatiers in Iceland. In Reykiavik he created the exclusive selling point for his chocolate and bakery products called Mosfells Bakery .
 
The project and the furnishing were created by the Italian design specialists Costa Group and designer Luigi Benvenuti. It started in October2006, a second outlet was opened in May. Haflidi Ragnarsson is indeed a ‘foodartist’. He started working with his parents in the bakery field, then he specialized in the pastry field, participating in many international contests. But his great passion is chocolate: he takes part of the list of the 100 best chocolatiers in the world. HRChocolates are handmade from the best available ingredients and contain no artificial additives. As a master chocolatier, it’s a challenge for him to combine the qualities of different types of chocolate with coffee, tea, spirits and fresh flavourings. His old laboratory became a new bakery with pastry and pralines corner, icecreamsection and a selling point for food items.
 
The shop shows a classical style for the bakery area and a modern and minimalist style for the pastry zone. Here one can find elegant shop windows where products are shown as jewels, and the atmosphereis lively thanks to the wall graphics. A small working area with glass walls separates the two zones. While retail stands for 60% of sales, in-house consumption is possible at 4 tables with 8 seats.
