Food for Court

De Rechtbank (The Court) is situated right in the heart of Utrecht in a former courthouse. The complexcomprises a brasserie (90 seats), a club and restaurant (160), a function room (100 people / banquet), a terrace (130) and 27 hotel rooms belonging to the threestar hotel, which operates upstairs. In the brasserie (which is also used as the breakfast room) wood tones are combined with green and black. The bar stools are upholstered in thick velvet. On the walls: an impressive stag's head and large photographs of doves approaching over the beach. In the restaurant, whites, purples and reds predominate. The menu features principally French and Dutch dishes. The speciality is a seafood platter for two people; customers can choose between king crab (€69.50), crab and crayfish.
