Fresh, Fast, and Reasonably Priced

Zenzi is a different fast food chain, rather representing the Norwegian fast casualsegment. They serve high quality food, fresh, fast and reasonably priced to Norwegians on the go. Some of the key words are healthy, energy, no additives and fresh. The two founders, Oystein Reinsborg and Rune Pal, started the first Zenzi store in November 2006. Now two years later, they have opened their ninth store in the Oslo area, the latest one on Frognerveien, and three more are just about to be opened. Reinsborg and Paul are both chefs with a background from Norway's top gourmet restaurants. The expansion is made possible with the investors that once built 7-Eleven Norway and also financed the start up of another Norwegian convenience store chain, Deli de Luca. Zenzi has an average store turnover of NOK10 m (1.1 m). The chain is expanding, aiming for 25 stores within the next three years. The food menu includes sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps and hot dishes such as pasta, casseroles and stews. The recent stores also hold a stir fry wok station where customers can choose ingredients for their personalized wok, priced by weight. Beverages include smoothies, water, coffee and tea. Guests can choose from different fresh cut fruit mixes, packaged into plastic bowls, bring it to the juice pressing station and then enjoy their favourite, freshly squeezed, natural juice.
