Extending the success of the famous Ristorante Bacco in Berlin, the new authentic Italian restaurant at The Elysium hotel in Paphos combines the simple elegance of a brick clad barrel vaulted ceiling reminiscent of a wine cellar with the fresh flavours of regional cuisine originating in Tuscany. Opened in April, Ristorante Bacco replaced the hotel’s Cava Restaurant, and has been so well received that parent company Stademos Hotels has since added the Italian brand to its Mediterranean Beach Hotel in Limassol, albeit in a more contemporary setting. The menu and wine list were compiled in co-operation with Massimo Manozzi, founder of Bacco in Berlin, to ensure the quality and authenticity of ingredients and preparation. The Ristorante Bacco in Paphos can seat up to 45 people inside and 60 people outside in an attractive sunken courtyard. Open for dinner seven days a week, Ristorante Bacco serves an average of 45 covers a night, with an average cheque of €40 per person. Menu favourites at The Elysium include Buffalo Mozzarella with Cherry Tomatoes and Tagliolini al-Tartuffo (Truffles), while diners at The Mediterranean have shown a penchant for the Papardelle al Porcini and Filetto di Manzo al Pepe. Top selling beverages include Italian wine Pinot Grigio and a heady Tiramisu Cocktail.
