Vitamin Kick

 
‘Go away doc’ – one of the multivitamin juices offered at Joe and the Juice – does not need much more explanation than its telling name. Beside the ‘dockiller’, 15 other juices, all freshly prepared from fruits and vegetables, are on the menu. By combining fruits and vegetables, each juice has its own functionality – metabolism enhancer, energy drink, hangover cure etc. In addition, 5 milk shakes, 5 different sandwiches (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and a range of coffees are offered.
 
The first small juice bar was opened in the fashion shop Rue Verde in Copenhagen by Kaspar Basse in 2002. During the last 18 months five more bars have been opened: two in the Magasin department store in Copenhagen, one in Tivoli, one in Lyngby and one in Aarhus. At the lounge style bars,guests can relax in an informal atmosphere. The average size of a bar is about 35 seats. Prices are €4.70 for all juices and shakes and €5.65 for a sandwich. The best selling juice is ‘Energizer’ – grapefruit, apple and ginger. About 70% of the turnover is accounted for by juices.
